New Year, New Blog

I can't believe it's already been one week since I moved into my apartment in Manhattan! One of my first nights here was New Year's Eve, and I spend it with a friend from high school in East Village. It was so much fun, and not at all what I had expected. Before I moved here, I was pretty intimidated by the size and amount of people, but really, everyone just does their own thing. I have never felt unsafe, and I can't wait to explore more of the city later on.
A couple of weeks ago, I changed my entire blog design and name. I had been thinking about it for a long time, and I'm so happy with how everything turned out. Previously, I was Petite Pastels, but I was looking for something with my name in it, but of course Hello Stephanie was taken. Hello Sesame was born after my roommate last year accidentally called me Sesame one night, and it has been added to my list of nicknames along with Sweet Potato, Little Steph, and Steph.

I bought a new blog template on Etsy (which you can find here for only SIX dollars) and installed it changed the fonts and colors and options. Then, I just bought my own domain with Google Domains which was very easy and straightforward. I thought about using other websites, but for me, this was a very fast process. I did some research into different domain and hosting platforms, but just by changing the blog template and domain name didn't affect any past posts which was great.

I'm not too tech savy, but this was a very easy process. Especially with the Etsy purchase, it came with step by step instructions where I uploaded my own profile picture, and I also made my own favicon on Canva that took one quick google search. I can't wait to post more here this year, and while there won't be as many food posts (thanks to my typical nyc sized apartment), there will still be lots of other things to write about as well :)
