Leaving College + Moving to NYC

Seventeen year old Steph would think you were crazy if you told her that by senior year, she'd sorta-kinda have her life figured out. Okay, maybe not "figured out", but that she'd be ok with not knowing what's going to happen next year or even next month. I came into college not knowing what I wanted to major in, and once I figured that out, I just did my thing and tried to do my best in school while meeting new people and balancing school/work/social life. Somehow I managed to make it to senior year, and along the way made (many) mistakes, had some good (and bad) interviews, with one leading to an internship next semester!

In 9 short days, I'll be traveling to New York City where my parents will drop me off at a fifth floor apartment in Manhattan (with no elevator). I'll be an intern at a toy company until the summer, while the rest of my friends are graduating in May...I was so torn since I'll really be missing out but at the same time I couldn't turn this opportunity down. I've really only lived in Michigan for my entire life, and I am so excited to take on a whole new city, and not only figure out more about my future career, but maybe as a functional, independent adult as well? I'm just incredibly thankful that everything has worked out so far financially before my big move. That was really my biggest concern, but it's crazy how everything can just fall into place sometimes.

I can't wait to document everything via blog post or vlogs in the city, with everything it has to offer. Let me know of any restaurants or things I have to in NYC! {But really though my main goal is to eat a lot of By Chloe and meet Mariska Hargitay}
