Fall Favorites

It's hard to believe that we are already halfway through the semester, and that it actually started snowing outside (!!). These past couple of months have been very crazy, filled with interviews, spending time with friends, one too many group projects, and getting into a new routine. I've been loving a couple new things recently that I can't wait to share - and these have been staples in my day to day life. 

Kodiak Cakes Flapjack and Waffle Mix
I could go on and on about this magical product. I found this at Costco, where one box contains three packages of the "only add water" mix. Having heard many great things about the company itself and their protein packed products, I picked it up and have been enjoying it multiple times a week. It's literally just equal parts pancake mix to water, but has 14g of protein in each half cup serving, and none of those over processed ingredients like other mixes. I love to add cocoa powder, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon to change it up, and love to top it with some berries and peanut butter! It's the perfect on the go meal that is oh so satisfying during colder months.
Maple Holistic Shampoo
I was contacted by this company awhile back to try out one of their products (they have such kind representatives btw), and thought why not? I've been using the same shampoo for years for my unruly, thick hair, and was excited to try something new. They mailed me their Degrease Shampoo meant for removing buildup and soothing the scalp. It really removes all of the buildup from dry shampoo and leave-in conditioners, so I use it about once a week. I was very surprised at how much I loved it and it reminds me of the scent of the Tea Tree shampoo from The Body Shop.
Live Awake Podcast
I have never ever been into mediating or listening to podcasts. I usually prefer running, cooking, or binge watching a TV show to calm myself down after a busy day, but after Lauren from hotforfood talked about it in one of her vlogs, I decided to give it a try since each episode is only 8 minutes. I love listening to this while doing yoga right when I wake up in the morning (I am now a morning person and I don't know who I am anymore), or right before bed right before I fall asleep. All episodes have been very eye opening, and the time she takes to write the podcasts and mix the music really shows. <a href="">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>
